Sixteen And Alone!
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was with a middle aged lady and her mother whom was the patient. She told me about her mother. She was a young sixteen year old girl when her world started to fall apart around her! That would be scary for anyone but especially a young girl!
Her family was German but her father was an accountant and was helping Jews move their money out of Germany so that they could escape. His activities was eventually discovered by the Gestapo.
So are patient, then a sixteen year old girl and her eighteen year old brother had to secretly flee the country. This was in nineteen thirty-nine and the conditions would only decline.
Her brother went to England and she went to a relative in Prague, Czechoslovakia. She was sixteen and all alone in another country! She lived there for two years until she could make her escape to England to freedom and her brother!
For the next three years she lived in England where she meet an American serviceman and got married. That is how she got to the United States where she had a family and a wonderful life. This special lady lived more life before she was twenty-one then most of us live in a lifetime!
