Cough Syrup
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was volunteering at our hospice on a Saturday morning. The nurses were keeping me busy all morning! I was on the third floor nurses station, taking a little break. The nurses were telling me some stories.
Karen, one of our Charge Nurses, told us a funny story that happened to her. Years ago she had a bad cough, and being a nurse, she didn't want to go to work with a cough! For abvious reasons, of course.
So, she went to the doctor and received a prescription for a strong cough syrup. Not a cough syrup anybody can get over the counter, but a stronger one. She got it and went home and drank the prescribed amount.
Even though she just drank the prescribed amount, she experienced a tremendous high! She felt the sensation that she was floating around the room! She remembered it as a very good and positive experience, but at the same time, very unnerving!
She laughed about it and said that she would never take that stuff again! She didn't drink anymore of it, she settled for the over the counter stuff, and took more time off of work! Instead of floating, she would rather stay on the ground!
