God Told Her To Give To Others!
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I had a shadow with me today volunteering at our hospice. She is a twenty-year-old college girl named Nellie. A shadow is a new volunteer that is tagging along with an experienced volunteer go glean a little practicable experience!
Nellie and I were at the third floor nurses station when one of the nurses recommended visiting a lady named Rose, down the hall on the right. So there we marched, I walked into the room with Nellie at my heels.
We walked in to find Rose sitting up in bed and eager to have a visit with someone. I thought that we fit that bill okay. Rose invited us in and we sat down with her. Rose was very talkative, and talked nonstop for a few hours!
She mostly talked about her daughter, since she had had a lot of problems with her. Her daughter growing up and as a young lady was very selfish and rude to her parents! One time the family was having some money problems, and her daughter yelled at Rose that she was the adult and needed to get the money together!
Her daughter was very nasty and selfish all of her upbringing, until God spoke to her! God spoke to her and told her to give to other! It changed her daughters life and she started the transformation from being totally selfish to being a giver to others!
It was an amazing turnaround that she is still working on. Sometimes it takes the voice of God to turn us around, and sometimes God will do that for us. This just shows how much God loves us and wants the best for us!
