This Is Just A Business Meeting

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I was standing in the hallway on this beautiful Saturday morning talking to two Dutch ladies.  Both of them were from Amsterdam, Netherlands.  The patient in the room was their Aunt.  Their Aunt had married an American years ago and had settled with him here in Texas.

Talking with both of them, (I could not pronounce their names much less spell it), I noticed some hostility.  I soon found out that both of them were very angry at their Aunt!  Apparently, she had been very abusive to her entire family all of her life.

They both told me all of the nasty and controlling things that she had said and done in the past.  I am very sure that they were a very small sampling of what had went on in the family.  The two nieces were very angry.

One of the ladies said that this was just a business meeting as far as she was concerned!  She was here for the other family members, especially Nick, her son.  They didn't even want to go into the room to be with her.  They did peak in several times.  But the Aunt did know that they were there and did speak briefly with them earlier.

I told them that even though they are angry with their Aunt, they are still here!  They traveled thousands of miles to be here for her.  There must be some kind of love in their hearts for their Aunt to have traveled so far to see her when she is dying.  They both agreed.

I hope that I had helped them a little to see that there is some kindness in them towards their Aunt.  Maybe years from now they will be happy that they had made this big effort to reconcile before their Aunts passing away!

Do you know of an angry person in your family?  Can you tell us about it in the comments section?
