Her Church Family
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was visiting with a middle-aged lady named Donna. Her mother was the patient and she was asleep in bed. Donna was very talkative and had a lot of crazy stories to tell! You can read more about her stories in the posts called, "The shotgun makes the preacher," "The One-legged invitation," "Running off the help," "The doctor ahead of his time," "The meeting that killed," "The secret wife."
She told me that her and her ex-husband lived in Burton, Texas for awhile as they remodeled their house. During the annual Cotton Gin Festival in town, a one-legged man invited her to church.
She went to the church, a Baptist Church, and received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savoir! She was not religious before, but now she had found a nice church family! She became very involved with the church, bake sales, services, and the like.
She was very happy there with her church family. Her and her husband divorced and they went their separate ways. She lives now in East Texas and has another church family, but she will always remember that first church family that lead her to Christ!
Do you have a church family? Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
