I Jumped Out Of The Window!
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was sitting with an elderly man named Dennis and he is from Buffalo NY. I spent about three or four hours with him and his son and daughter and even a grand daughter.
He was an amazing guy and busy guy. He was a Buffalo police officer for thirty-five years, a volunteer firefighter for twenty years, and had his own Country blues band for years! Dennis played guitar and was the lead singer of the band.
He shared with me a lot of stories about his life in the hours that I sat with him. Stories about his firefighter years were interesting. He shared with me this one story.
Dennis was in a burning building on the second floor looking for any people in trouble to save! The fire exploded into an inferno that quickly engulfed the whole building. Dennis found himself now in trouble!
Though all of the smoke and flames, he could see the vague light coming the window. So Dennis ran and jumped out of the window! He didn't know that in the meantime that his firefighter buddies had raised up a ladder to the window!
As Dennis flew out of the window, his foot caught the top of the ladder and flipped him! As he flipped and fell he managed to land on both of his feet on a wooden porch! Dennis was safe and sound and didn't know how that happened!
