Daughter-In-Love

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I was with Tricia this Saturday morning, she was my shadow for the day.  A shadow is a new volunteer who tags along with an experienced volunteer.  Tricia is a beautiful twenty-eight year old first grade teacher.

We walked into a room with a middle-aged couple sitting by the bed of their mother. An older man was siting off to the side on the couch.  He was the husband of the patient.  I let Tricia to sit close to them and I sat behind her.  That way she would be involved in most of the conversation.  She did a wonderful job!

While we were talking two other folks walked into the room.  They were the spouses of the other two.  A man and a lady.  The lady was a grief councilor and was very talkative.  Most of the conversation was with Tricia and her baby boy dying in hospice care!

She then described herself as a daughter-in-law, but she called herself a daughter-in-love!  That is because her mother-n-law, who is now the patient, was so good to her.  She opened her home and her heart to her.

That was the best complement that I have ever heard!  This mother and mother-in-law was such a sweet and nice lady and everyone loved her,  especially her daughter-in-love!

Do you love your mother-in-law?  Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
