He Got The Jet!
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
Last week I was visiting with a patient named Dennis who is from Buffalo NY. His son and daughter and later a grand daughter arrived. We had a great time together and I was with them all morning.
Dennis is dying of stage four pancreatic cancer and they were deciding on how to get him back home to Buffalo so that he could die among family and friends.
They were thinking about renting an RV to take him home, which would cost nineteen-hundred dollars. His many friends wanted to rent a Lear jet to bring him back home, but Dennis didn't want to burden his friends because a jet would cost about twelve-thousand dollars!
Well they had a fundraiser for him anyway and raised all of the money to get the jet! I was with a new volunteer named Tricia, and when he told us, he got a little emotional about it. I told him that he has a lot of people there that loves him a lot! Dennis didn't say it, but I could see that he knew it as well! He got the jet!
