The Picnic Table

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I was sitting with a patient named John.  I had just taken him out to the smoking gazebo so that he could smoke a cigar.  When we returned we sat around and talked about his eighteen years in prison and his drug abuse and crimes that had sent him there!

One of the stories that he shared with me was the time the warden asked him to build a picnic table for him at his home.  He was asked to make this picnic table was because John was part of the prison carpentry shop.  That is where the prison teaches the prisoners how to be a carpenter.

John readily agreed to the job, to get out of prison for a few days anyway.  When John got to the wardens home, he told the warden that he would be happy to do the job if he could get a few things.

The warden asked him what he needed.  John said that he needed some beer, three packages of Bugler tobacco, and a bag of marijuana!  The warden smiled and said to give him thirty minutes!  The warden came back in thirty minutes with the three items.

The warden asked him how long it would take to make the picnic table, John told him two days.  John took his time, and drank his beer, and smoked his smokes!  John made a great picnic table for the warden!

After he told me this story, he died four days later!

Do you have a picnic table in your back yard?  Can you tell us about it in the comments section?
