I Like This High!

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I was with a patient named John in the smoking gazebo.  As soon as I came to our hospice, I was informed that John wanted to have a smoke break.  John smoked his cigar and we returned back to the main building.

Just before we returned to his room, we passed the nurses station.  The nurse seen us and ask John if he could take his medication now.  One was of morphine for anxiety, and there was another one for his heart.  So, he took them right there at the second floor nurses station.

When we got back to his room, I sat on the couch and John sat in the room's recliner.  He eased the recliner back.  I could tell that the morphine was working on him.  He became very relaxed.

John looked at me and said that he liked this kind of high!  He had abuse cocaine for years and said that it always made him very nervous and paranoid.  He said that heroin had made him feel good for a
minute but then knocked him out!

He said that this high was real good, it didn't knock him out and it made him very relaxed and he could lay back and just enjoy the nice feeling.  He said that he liked this high a lot!

John died four days later!

Do you know anyone who is on morphine?  Can you tell us about it in the comments section?
