Philadelphia Military Acadamy
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was at our hospice visiting only one lady today. I was to spend seven hours with her to give the nurse's a break. Delores was very needy and had tons of requests. They were very happy to see me when I came in to volunteer!
In those seven years I had found out that she had been married to her husband for fifty years! He just died four months ago. I asked her how she had met him.
She said that he had been attending Philadelphia Military Academy when they met. That is a military boarding school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A military equivalent to a secular high school. Delores attended a secular high school nearby.
Delores started dating one of his fraternity friends at the Academy. They were there on the P.M.A campus when her future husband walked into the room. Deloris looked at him, and she said that it was love at first sight!
They began dating and got married! He would go on and study at Penn University, he entered the Army for eighteen months and was discharged. He didn't like the military life, nor did Delores.
They lived in Pennsylvania all of their days, she worked for Omaha Steaks as a saleswoman, and her husband for a communications utility company. After her husband died, Delores was sent here to treat her throat and tongue cancer.
