Families Are Different
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was standing at the third floor nursing station and the nurse's were discussing how different families can be compared to other families. Some families are very sullen and are low-key. Some other families can be very busy and talkative. Other families can be very jovial and even laughing and telling jokes!
Sometimes the nurse's have to close the door to the rooms because one family would be loud and laughing and it would offend a family in the next room that are in mourning!
After some time with them, I went across the hall to a room with an Iraqi family. The patient was an elderly Iraqi man in his eighties. He had a nervous system disease. The patients wife and one of his sons was there.
The son and I started talking and one of the subjects was how different families could be to one another! I told him that the nurse's were just talking about that same subject before I came there! We laughed about that and continued talking.
We both thought that it was a good thing that different families had different social dynamics. Mourning can be very different from person to person, and from family to family.
What is your opinion on how you sometimes mourn? Can you tell us about it in the comments section?
