The Failed Adoption!

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

We have a baby come into the hospice for respite care on a regular basis.  The baby and his family are from Pakistan.  You can read about him in my post, "Sometimes words are not necessary,"  And also the post "Love without limits."  The baby was back again two weeks ago.

The parents are trying to adopt the baby to another family.  The family already has one special needs child and one who is probably autistic.  They cannot handle a third.  The volunteers have been taking turns rocking the baby.  Unfortunately I missed out on that special time.

A lady heard about the adoption and had come hear in Houston from Atlanta.  She wanted to adopt the baby.  The lady had two children of her own and five special needs children she and her husband had adopted.  They wanted to adopt this one as well!

She flew here from Atlanta and seen the baby and loved him!  She wanted him!  But a few days later, she and the adoption agency representative were in the family room crying.  She said that for some reason she did not feel a connection with this baby like she did with the other children she had adopted.

It broke her heart that she did not feel that connection!  So instead of making a mistake, her and her husband decided not to adopt this baby!  It was a very sad situation for everyone involved!

It did eventually turn out well for the baby.  A week later a husband and a wife which were both doctors, successfully adopted the baby!  They have two children of their own and now this special needs baby.  So, for the baby, it turned out to be a happy ending after all!

Do you know of anyone who was adopted?  Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
