Her Father's Revenge!
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was in the room of an African-American family. The fifty-eight year old son was the patient who was dying of a kidney disease that he was born with and was mentally handicapped. He was asleep most of the time of my almost four hour visitation. His mother was sitting on the couch and his step-father was sitting on the chair. See my other posts about them called, "A Born Drummer," and "He shined like a Diamond."
She had with her a bunch of certificates and family pictures. She showed me everything that she had accumulated over the years. She was very proud of her family! She was especially proud of her father!
She grew up in the small country town of Crabb River, Texas. It was a small town near the Brazos river just south of Richmond, Texas. All of this area today is built up and part of the Houston metropolitan area.
Her father was at his home and it caught fire and he burned up in the fire. The fire was under suspicious circumstances. Years later she sold the land to a housing developer, with conditions. She wanted a street named after her father and a small monument to him.
A street was named after him, I had seen the picture of the street name. A small stone monument was put up when the land was cleared off. She went back to the old homestead and the monument was missing. No one knew where it was, angry and frustrated, so she prayed about it!
Years later one of the houses was having a foundation problem. One of the houses had a cracked foundation. When the foundation company came to fix the foundation, they found the problem. They dug a stone monument from under the foundation!
The builder didn't want the monument in the nice neighborhood that they built, and buried it under the new house that they built on her father's old land! Her father's revenge!
That's the story as I heard it! Do you know of a similar story? Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
