Ten Bodies Rolled Out!
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was sitting with this middle-aged lady of eighty-six pounds! She was very short and really skinny! She had been sitting with her father for two weeks at her hospice! While she was here she pretty much had seen everything!
One of the things she noticed, and observed was a process of removing people who have passed away in our hospice. She seen the signs that would go up, and the doors between the hallways close, and the secure yard secured in the area.
She saw that the bodies would be rolled out to the back, but she didn't know exactly where. I told her that in the back, we have a utility elevator that went down to the underground parking garage.
She didn't seem surprised, she thought something like that was going on. I told her that an average twenty-two people passed away in her hospice every week. So, she saw some of the people, but not all the people who have passed away in the last two weeks!
But she had already observed all the steps that we take, and all the signs and procedures that we go through when we discreetly take a body out. They get taken to the back utility elevator where it's taken to the underground parking garage where the undertaker is parked. From there they are taken to a funeral home.
I was kind of surprised that she noticed all the details about the procedures. But she was a Victim Advocate and she had learned over the years to notice details. So I wasn't really too surprised! I told her she can come back to volunteer here, because she already knows a lot about what we do. We both left, and she said she would like to come back as a volunteer in the near future.
