Running The Help Off
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was in a patients room visiting with her daughter, Donna. The patient was lying in bed asleep. She was very elderly, was a nurse professionally, and a Baptist. Her husband was a Jewish doctor. You can read more about her husband in the post called, "A doctor ahead of his time."
He was a doctor and she was a nurse. In their lifetime Donna's parents had made a lot of money. They lived in a very nice part of the city, and had a very large estate. Having a lot of money is not a bad thing, it's usually a good thing. In the end it is up to the folks who have it in their possession.
Donna told me that her mother had a very strong-willed and controlling. Her father had a very mild disposition, he had passed some time before. I joked with Donna that she was just like my ex-wife!
Donna said that her mother was so controlling that she was forever running off the help. That means that she could never keep a housekeeper or a health care providers! Her constant complaining and verbal abuse would make them all quit!
Donna said that her mother was always difficult to get along with and she could never please her. She was always very controlling and a perfectionist. She most certainly was not a good person to work for or to have as a boss. Now that she is dying, nothing is in her control! Death for all of us takes complete control!
