The Candle Lady

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I arrived at the hospice for my volunteer time, and I seen Mohammed at the front desk.  Very nice guy from Somalia.  He has told me a lot from his country.

He told me about last week that they had a crazy situation he had to deal with.  It was a public disturbance in one of the rooms from a family member!

A daughter of a patient was in her mother's room and lighting candles!  All of the rooms have oxygen and a open flame could blow up the room and maybe the whole building!

When the nursing staff told her to stop lighting candles because of the danger,, the daughter refused!  So, one of the son's who had the power of attorney was called, and he came quickly to the hospice, He told the nurses that she had been verbally abusive to her mother all of her life.

She caused a big fight to take place.  So Mohammed, our security guard was called and the daughter was then cooperative, probably not wanting the police to be called!  She took all of her candles and left the building!

Rules at the hospice are for everyone's safety and should always be followed.  Open flames are not allowed due to oxygen is supplied to every room and could cause an explosion and fire!

Do you know anyone who likes candles?  Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
