He Said Goodbye And Left!
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was on the second floor talking with a seventy-nine year old lady. Her name is Margaret and she told me a lot about her life. See the posts "The Girl Children," and "The Military Brat." which is also about her. She was in some discomfort but medication had been given to her.
She told me about her husband being in the Army, as an inspector for six years. Then he spent eight years working in Iraq as a contractor inspector. I told her it must have been very hot there. She said that her husband said it was only hot from the door of the car to the building and from the building to the car door! He told her not to worry about it.
Her husband would come home every six months for only two weeks. He was making a lot of tax free money in Iraq. What he didn't know was that it was disappearing! After eight years in Iraq, he came home for good and discovered that he was broke. She told him that she had spent all of the money!
He asked her in rage why she had spent all of the money. She replied, "Did you tell me to save it? No you didn't!" He said goodbye and left her after twenty-eight years of marriage! They had one daughter, but she said that her daughter didn't care for her.
I suspect that she had some anger issues from her childhood that were unresolved and caused her relationship problems. A bad parent can cause emotional problems for generations. If we confess our sins to Jesus Christ, He will forgive us! With a heart of forgiveness, our lives can be much easier and happier!
