The Sugar Tyrant
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
I was at the first floor nurses station taking a little break standing at the counter. We had a couple of nurses there, Ayoola being one of them. Ayoola is an immigrant from Nigeria. We were all telling stories about current and past patient's and family members.
I told the story about a certain family having eight lawyers among them. Ayoola shared with us about the sugar tycoon who was a patient of his here at our hospice about six-months ago. He was such a hard patient that they kinda of dumped him on Ayoola, because Ayoola is a big young tough guy!
This patient that came to us was an extremely wealthy sugar tycoon. He was the head of a local sugar factory that I will leave unnamed for their privacy. This man was extremely wealthy! He was brought in with his wife just behind. This was his second wife.
He had divorced his first wife whom he had several children together years ago. When he divorced his first wife, his kids stopped talking to him and didn't want anything to do with him! So for years his kids didn't speak to him. In the meanwhile, he had remarried to his current wife!
His kids didn't speak to him until he was dying and there was a large inheritance to be had, then here they all came, to see dear old dad! They didn't come alone, they brought their lawyers with them! The inheritance was up for grabs and they were all grabbing for it.
The sugar tycoon had made his Will out and it all was going to his new wife! That's why the kids all had lawyers! Dear old dad, not liking the kids disowning him for all of these years had wrote them all out of the Will!
Ayoola was his nurse and had to deal with all of that craziness! He said that the sugar tycoon was a real sugar tyrant! He was not a nice man at all! The kids were accusing the new wife of being a "treasure hunter," and the new wife reminded them that they had not been around in years!
Anyway, it was a big mess here and all shades of craziness was going on! Ayoola had to deal with most of it since he is a big guy and the new nurses on the block! He said that it was a miserable experience, but hey, that's life! That was Ayoola's story about a bad patient!
Did you ever had to take care of a bad situation before? Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
