Small Town Living

Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!

I was talking with one of our wonderful hospice nurses.  She grew up in a small town of Crosby in North Dakota.  Their family was Catholic and her parents had fourteen children!

Her father was a auto mechanic in this farming community.  The town had three thousand people back then, now it only has one thousand.

Renee grew up in Crosby, except for four years when they lived in Whitewater, Montana.  The move was due to a falling out with her father and his brother.  After four years they moved back to Crosby.

The winters are nine months of the year there.  And I asked her how they didn't kill each other in those long cold winters, she said that her parents kept them in line!

Renee is a sweet nurse, about sixty with gray hair.  She has great memories of growing up in a small town.  It all sounds so nice.
