Lunch and Learn
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
We had a wonderful time at the "Lunch and Learn" at the hospice. We had about thirty volunteers gather in the conference room. While we ate the sack lunch that we brought we talked about the myths of hospice care and the Jewish tradition of Ethical Wills. The Bible calls these Wills "Blessings."
We all had a wonderful time fellow-shipping with one anther and learning new things about serving our patients and serving others. Being educated and knowledgeable is always a positive in one's life.
Always a pleasure to meet and talk with other volunteers. I sat next to a hospice nurse who treats patients in their homes, and she was very knowledgeable. That is called Home Care and most Hospice patients receive this type care.
Have you ever received additional training? Can you tell me about it in the comments section?
