Time For A Refreshing
Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!
We had some in-house training today. It's always good to get some refresher training from time to time. Even after volunteering for almost three years now it's still good to get together with other volunteers and get some additional training.. It's normal for folks to pick up some bad habits over time, and this is true about everything in life. When you are helping people in a hospice, you really want to be on top of your game!
A couple of hours of class room work then we all got a TB test done (Tuberculosis). All hospice volunteers are required to have a TB test every year. It was also nice to see a lot of the other volunteers.
Julia, my girlfriend, came with me and afterwards I gave her a tour of the hospice. Julia spent years as a hospice social worker and was very familiar with the industry. We took some pictures of ourselves in the garden. Like a hundred pictures! It was a nice time together.
